Until Friday, 12 December, applications are open to participate free of charge in the Safety Academy Weekend scheduled from 13 to 15 March 2026 at the Campo Base Refuge in Valle Maira.
The Ortovox Safety Academy Weekend
Ortovox organises the Safety Academy Weekend every year, a free long weekend of full immersion in the topic of safety, with theoretical lessons and field experiences. Participants in the Safety Academy Weekend will have the opportunity to train on snow-covered terrain, learn, gain experience and have fun in the snow together with certified mountain guides and Ortovox partners.
The programme includes ski touring excursions with training on the snow, evening workshops on risk management and route planning, offering the perfect mix for learning, improving and experiencing the mountains in a conscious way. You will also have the opportunity to try out Ortovox emergency equipment free of charge, including the Avabag LiTRIC rucksack and the Diract Voice device.
Participation in the activities and clinics, all in Italian, is free of charge: Ortovox will take care of everything – only food and accommodation will be at the participants’ expense. To apply for one of the 30 places available, simply fill in the online form with a photo explaining what ski touring is. But you need to be quick: registration is open until 12 December.
