After Vancouver, Italian Sport Shoes Design moves to San Francisco

2 October 2026

The exhibition Italian Sport Shoes Design arrives in San Francisco, offering the public an immersive journey to discover the innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship that have made Italy a global reference point in sports footwear design.

Curated by the Treviso-based Sportsystem Foundation, the exhibition, set up through display panels, traces the evolution and legacy of Italian design in the sports products sector through iconic footwear, multimedia installations, interviews with industry pioneers, and video presentations created by some of the most important Italian sports brands. The exhibition tells the stories of the people, products, and ideas that have contributed to the international success and excellence of Italian-made sports shoes. Visitors will discover how Italian companies have transformed the technical sports footwear sector through innovative designs, cutting-edge technologies, and a constant search for the best performance, without ever sacrificing style. The exhibition highlights the intersection of sports, innovation, manufacturing excellence, and cultural heritage. The project, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is presented in San Francisco by the Italian Cultural Institute, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, in collaboration with the Sportsystem Foundation. It also takes place in conjunction with the SportTech startup acceleration program organized by the Innovation Center of INNOVIT San Francisco, and represents a significant example of the synergies created by the collaboration between culture, diplomacy, and innovation.

San Francisco represents the third stop of the exhibition, which after being exhibited in recent months in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and Vancouver (Canada) continues its journey around the world to showcase Italian manufacturing excellence.
