In photo: Giuseppe De Biasi, new general manager operations at Lowa
Lowa has appointed Giuseppe De Biasi as the new general manager operations. Previously, De Biasi held the position of general manager retail Greater China at Luxottica, after working for over 12 years in the company, also serving as retail sales and operations director for the EMEA, India, and Greater China regions.
Luxottica owns the sunglasses brands Oakley and Bliz and the retail chains Sunglass Hut and Lens Crafters. Before joining Luxottica, De Biasi spent just over 11 years at Whirlpool EMEA.
Lowa, part of the Italian group Tecnica Group, stated in a LinkedIn post: “We are excited to welcome Giuseppe De Biasi as our new general manager operations. With his extensive experience in international leadership and a solid operational background, Giuseppe will oversee design, product development, production, and central corporate functions. Alongside Andrea Dorigo and Marco Pirani, he joins the management board of Lowa. We look forward to working together to continue driving Lowa’s growth, strengthening our product portfolio, and shaping the next chapter of our brand.”
De Biasi wrote in another post on LinkedIn: “I am happy to announce that I am starting a new position as Geschäftsführer | General Manager Operations at Lowa, a premium outdoor footwear brand within the Tecnica group. I take on this new responsibility with gratitude, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of purpose. I bring with me the experience gained over the years working alongside exceptional professionals, to whom I owe a sincere thank you. Every challenge, every success, and every difficulty have contributed to shaping the leader I am today. I will dedicate to Lowa my experience, my passion for building and improving organizations, and a deep sense of responsibility that has taken on an even greater meaning since becoming a father. I hope to give back to this organization at least as much as I have received throughout my career, working with integrity, supporting people, and contributing to a culture where great results come from great teams. I am excited for what lies ahead.”
