Salomon expands its clothing and bag repair program, extending the service to five new countries in addition to France: Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands.
The initiative is part of the brand’s circularity goals, also shared by other brands within the Amer Sports group, and aims to extend the lifespan of products. The service includes the brand covering shipping costs, while the consumer is responsible for the repair cost. The product is returned within seven to ten days.
To launch the program in new markets, the Annecy brand has partnered with United Repair Centre, a company specializing in textile repair with operational locations in Amsterdam, London, and Paris.
“This program reflects Salomon’s belief that products are built to perform, endure, and accompany people through meaningful experiences in the mountains and beyond. Repairing them allows those experiences to last longer”, stated Marie-Laure Piednoir, global sustainability and impact director at Salomon, to Outdoor Industry Compass.
