The Ski Industry Climate Summit returns – the event that brings together key players from the international ski and winter sports industry under the banner of sustainability. The third edition will take place from January 13 to 15, 2026 at Fiera Bolzano, in conjunction with the B2B trade show Prowinter.
The Summit is an international conference created to strengthen collaboration within the winter sports sector, bringing together brands, ski resorts, companies, and organizations. It offers a shared space for open dialogue, hands-on learning, and collective progress toward a more sustainable future.
Hosted by Atomic, Protect Our Winters Europe (POW), and the Winter Sports Sustainability Network (WSN), the Summit has become the leading meeting point for collective climate action in the world of winter sports.
The history of the Ski Industry Climate Summit
Since its launch in 2023, the Ski Industry Climate Summit has evolved from a conversation among brands into a full-fledged industry conference, bringing together ski and snowboard manufacturers, apparel and protection brands, sports federations, retailers, resorts, and organizations.
Its shared objective: to strengthen cooperation and accelerate measurable progress toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future for winter sports.

Agenda and key themes
The 2026 edition will open on January 13 with closed-door WSN working group meetings, where experts will address technical topics such as ecodesign and recycling, LCA and decarbonization, traceability and regulatory compliance, and climate advocacy.
The main conference, scheduled for January 14 and 15, will focus on new initiatives and strategic priorities driving progress across the entire winter sports ecosystem:
- Regulation and compliance: the European and U.S. legislation currently shaping sustainability and manufacturing in the sports industry.
- Market outlook: insights and trends from major international organizations on shifting business models and the economic impacts of climate change.
- Success stories and best practices: examples of effective collaboration and concrete solutions from federations, resorts, and industry partners – including material innovations, recycling systems, and circular economy models that deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
- Key challenges of the winter ecosystem: operational, environmental, and market changes affecting stakeholders, and areas where collective action can create greater impact.
- Evening networking events and cross-sector sessions will further encourage exchange among brands, suppliers, federations, ski resorts, and retailers.
